This is the thickest batter, so it makes a fritter that is thick enough to form into a ball and pan fry. It can be flavored with spices (the Ras el Hanout or Smoky Spicy Mix are naturals) or left plain. The batter can be made ahead and fried when ready. The fritters can be fried ahead and served at room temperature or reheated in a hot oven just before serving. And like most fritters, these are good with any dipping sauce you could want.
