This is my favorite frosting and it’s very simple— just milk, butter, and sugar, plus a bit of nostalgia. This frosting will take you back to your favorite cakes from childhood. Basic and versatile, this recipe can be modified by adding any flavor you like: lemon zest, espresso, lavender, or even rosewater. The trick with flavoring is to add 1 tsp, taste, and then add more if you wish.
