Truffles are a luxury item and one that the Spanish prioritize and keep reasonably priced. Spain is the world’s largest producer of black truffles, particularly in Catalonia, and the tonnage that is kept domestically is generously employed throughout the cuisine. Truffles can add a hint of chic to any dish, but they are most commonly used in egg dishes.
