  • 2 cups (250 g) self-rising flour
  • pinch of salt

Method

Sift the flour, salt, and allspice into a large bowl. Add the brown sugar, butter, and milk. Swiftly knead the mixture into a smooth dough. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Butter an 8- or 9-inch (20-or 22-cm) square baking pan.
