  • About

After a day outside in the cold, there’s nothing that will warm you up like a big glass of hot whiskey. Completely soaked after a walk along the stormy coast, it was the only drink that would get me warm. Well … maybe it was also the fire in the fireplace and the tall tales from the men in the bar.

Ingredients

  • a splash of Irish whiskey (you may add 1 to 2 tsp sugar, but I always do without)
  • 2 or 3

Method

Pour the whiskey into a heatproof glass. Stir in sugar, if you wish. Stick the cloves in the lemon slices, put them in the glass, and add boiling water until your glass is full.

Stir until the sugar is dissolved and drink.
