Slice the baguette on a diagonal as thinly as possible. Spread the slices out on a baking sheet and toast in the center of the oven for several minutes until brown, flipping halfway through. Stay close, because these will burn easily.
Preheat the broiler to high. Broil the goat cheese for about 5 minutes on a rack in the highest position, until the top bubbles and the edges start browning.
Serve piping hot with the toast as a snack with drinks.
