Fitting in some vegetarian meals mid-week is easy with this slow cooker bolognese. It’s packed with so much flavour that you won’t even miss the meat!

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 2

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 4–5 hours or low for 5–6 hours.
  3. This is optional, but once it’s ready you can blitz the sauce to make it more kid-friendly. Simply cool slightly, then blitz with a hand blender or add to a stand blender.
  4. Serve with cooked spaghetti.
