This delicious vegetarian curry is a really tasty alternative to a classic chicken curry. It’s mild in spice but can easily be jazzed up at the end for the adults with a splash of chilli sauce.


  • 750 g sweet potato
  • ½ tbsp oil
  • 1 onion,


  1. Peel the sweet potato and cut into 2cm chunks.
  2. Put the oil, onion, garlic and ginger in a large frying pan or shallow casserole dish and cook for 2–3 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Add the garam masala and chilli powder and cook for another minute, stirring continuously.
