Vegetables are commonly served with meat and rice dishes in Turkish cuisine. You can also serve [hem as stand-alone dishes in the summer.


  • 1 young whole celery (not too large)
  • 2 all-purpose potatoes (such as desiree)
  • 2 carrots, sliced int


Slice the celery head into rounds and cut the stems (with their small leaves) into 2 cm (¾ inch) lengths. Peel and dice the potatoes. Put all the vegetables in a large frying pan, pour over a good drizzle
