Bramble jam

I used to make bramble jelly with my blackberries, but to my greedy eyes the final volume of jelly always seemed a poor return on the time spent picking and the weight of fruit. This robust, scrumptious jam that celebrates the late-summer harvest and heralds the onset of autumn, and also happens to be my favourite crumble filling, is the answer.
