Shochu has gained much popularity in Japan in recent years, with sales surpassing those of sake. I love drinking it with Italian Aperol and tonic water for a Japanese-inspired Spritz.

Ingredients

  • 25 ml (1 fl oz/5 tsp) rice shochu
  • 25

Method

  1. Add the shochu and Aperol to a chilled glass. Fill it with cubes of ice, top with the tonic water and orange slice. Mix well with a spoon and serve.
