This is Japan’s national fried chicken dish, a standard appetizer or main course and great with beer. My husband is happy anytime I make it, and my youngest tries to beat everyone to the table so she will get a bigger share. I always make extra and hide it away to be eaten cold for lunch the next day. (For tips on deep-frying.)
