Chocolate and Biscuit ‘Salami’

A fun memory of growing up in Rome is of Sunday mornings when my parents cleverly found a way to sleep in by asking us children to surprise them with a dessert or something easy to make in the kitchen. We mostly used the Manuale di Nonna Papera, a cookbook of easy recipes by Walt Disney for children. The salame vichingo - which we called salame di cioccolata - was one of our favourites. It is the first dish I ever made alongside my older siblings, Stefano and Simona.
