Challah is simple to make, but it does take time. If you’re willing to give over a day to baking these loaves, however, you will be amply rewarded. Once the dough is prepared, it requires two risings before it is shaped into loaves, brushed with egg wash, sprinkled with toppings, and baked. It’s delicious eaten warm right out of the oven.
