  • About

This rich yeast dough can be shaped into a variety of plain and ornamental breads, called coffeecakes in the United States. Sticky buns are made from the same dough.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup/125 ml milk
  • ¼ cup/60 g</

Method

  1. Heat the milk and the butter until the butter has melted. Let the liquid cool to lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Sift the flour into a warm bowl, add the salt and sugar and make a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture, milk and egg. Mix with your hand, gradually drawing in the flour to form a smooth dough. If the dough is sticky, work in more flour.</
