Date bread is delicious with butter for breakfast, or served with cheese.


  • 1 cup/250 ml milk
  • ½ cup/100 g<


  1. Heat the oven to 350°F/175°C; grease the loaf pan and line it with wax paper. Heat the milk, sugar and butter until melted, stir in the dates and leave until cooled to lukewarm
  2. In a bowl, mix both types of flour, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center and add the milk mixture, egg and walnuts. Stir until just mixed.
