This is a flaky pie crust dough that can be used for both sweet and savory pies.

Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Place the flour, salt, and sugar in the bowl of a food processor, and pulse for a few seconds to combine.
  • Add the cubed, cold butter, and pulse until the butter is about the size of peas and the mixture is sandy, about 10 pulses.
  • With the machine running, add the ice water in a slow, steady stream through the feed tube, just until the dough comes togeth
