  • 1 Santa Rosa or dark-skinned plum, sliced into ½-inch-thick pieces
  • ½ cup (111 g) water

Method

Place plum slices, water, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Once plum slices are soft and syrup has turned magenta, remove from heat and strain liquid into a medium bowl. Discard plum slices.
