Crisp and flaky, these crackers make a good gift during the holidays.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter, salt, cayenne, black pepper, and chives on low speed for 1 minute. Scrape bowl well with rubber spatula. Add cheddar and flour and mix on low speed until combined.
Form dough into a rectangle. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
