Italian for cooked cream, panna cotta is an easy dessert that’s requested by all our customers. Add your favorite seasonal fruit—I love fuyu persimmons! (Pomegranate seeds are pictured here… also delicious.)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • tablespoons (12 g) powdered gelatin

Method

Place cold water in small mixing bowl. Whisk water and gelatin together and allow gelatin to bloom (absorb the liquid), about 5 minutes.

Place sugar, vanilla bean, and vanilla bean seeds in a medium saucepan. Rub the vanilla bean with sugar to release all the seeds. Add cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally with a rubber spatula to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat. Add bloo
