Ingredients: Salt and pepper; 1 medium onion; 2 x 400 g tins of chopped tomatoes; 1 red sweet pointed pepper; 1 tbsp olive oil; 500 g good quality minced beef; 1 tsp garlic purée (or 1 clove of garlic, peeled and crushed); 1 tsp dried Italian herb seasoning; 1 heaped tsp basil pesto; 1 heaped tsp sundried tomato pesto; 1 tsp hot chilli powder; 50 g plain flour; 50 g butter; 550 ml milk (ideally Home Farmer fresh farm milk!); Splash of Worcestershire sauce (or balsamic vinegar); 1 beef stock cube; 100 g cheese, grated (we always use our Old Roan Farmhouse Wensleydale); 250 g dried lasagne sheets

We love hearty family meals at Home Farm and lasagne is one of our favourites. As dairy farmers we always have milk and cheese in the fridge so it’s our ‘go to’ if we can’t decide what to have. Farmers are famously always hungry but this never fails to hit the spot! – Ben Spence
