This has all the zip and thrill of a bracing bowlful from South East Asia (think citrussy aromatics and pointed little chillies), but with flavours more firmly rooted in Italy.
Scale it up with another can of chickpeas and more fresh veg, but be sure to increase the liquid quantities so the bright sauce glazes every chickpea. I often serve this with some crispy fried feta alongside.
