Make this, store it and drizzle it over things. A word of warning, though – you might start to drizzle it over everything and then everything starts to taste the same! This is excellent drizzled over a plain steak when you wrap it in foil and is fabulous drizzled over barbequed meats. You can, of course, use it on salad too!

Ingredients

  • 300 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoons

Method

Put all the ingredients into a saucepan and cook over a high heat, uncovered, allowing the liquid to evaporate. Let it to reduce to 150 ml (measure it!). Sieve it and store it in a sealed jar or bottle in your cupboard for a couple of months.
