Goat’s cheese is salty, honey is sweet and they are great together. This tart is versatile as you can put almost anything in it you want. Great as a starter, a lunch or for a picnic. Add garden herbs, change the cheese, add some ham... Whatever you fancy, give it a go!

Ingredients

  • 375 g packet ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 200–300 g <

Method

  1. Open the pastry sheet onto a clean, floured work surface and cut it into 4 equal parts.
  2. Brush the surface all over with beaten egg and place a slice of goat’s cheese in the centre of each piece.
  3. Use your fingers and thumb to pinch together the two ends on the short sides so that you make a boat shape with the cheese inside. Place onto the baking sheet
