Pasta puttanesca

The story is that ‘puttanesca’ was invented in the ‘50s by restaurant owner Sandro Petti. At closing time one evening, a group of friends was sitting at one of his tables. Petti had no ingredients left, but it was late and they were hungry. ‘Facci una puttanata qualsiasi’ (‘Make any kind of rubbish’), they insisted.
