Pumpkins seeds are a bright-green, crunchy delight – here they add a bit of bite to an old favourite.

Ingredients

  • 375 g packet ready rolled puff pastry
  • 200 g strong cheddar, grated
  • 100

Method

  1. Place the pastry on a clean work surface and brush one half with egg. Spread the grated cheese over the other half and top with the chopped seeds.
  2. Fold the egg half over the cheese/seed half and press down well. Brush with the beaten egg and season with salt and pepper. Trim the edges with a sharp knife and cut 16–20 strips.
