The island of Symi is almost as far east in Greece as you can get and with access only by boat from Rhodes, it is secluded. The tavernas lining the harbour are wonderful so in order to save our appetite for the evening we called in at the bakery for a snack to take to the beach. I have no idea what the real name is, but we know them as Greek spinach spirals and they have become firm picnic favourites!
