Burgers are a friendly, fun way to eat and they can be so good for you. Making your own means you know what is in them, you can add the things you want and leave out the things you don’t. And why always beef? This is fish for people who don’t like fish and I have yet to meet a teenager who doesn’t like them!


For the Burger

  • 500 g fresh tuna steaks
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon


  1. To make the mayonnaise, combine all the ingredients together and put into the fridge until needed.
  2. Place all the burger ingredients into a food processor and whizz until the tuna is chopped up and everything is thoroughly mixed. The tuna should be in chunks, not whizzed to a paste.
