For the Base

100 g soft butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Method

Line the tin with baking parchment so the paper comes 5cm up the sides.
Beat the butter and sugar together in a bowl with a wooden spoon until soft. Mix in the nuts and flour and press into the base of the tin. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes</
