My son Sam was eight when he made this for the first time. I do not think there could be a more appealing set of ingredients to an eight-year-old: chocolate, butter, sugar, biscuits and marshmallows! He has made it many times since, changing what he put in it and what he left out. This recipe is his favourite combo.

Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 250 g milk chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon

Method

  1. Line the tin with a double layer of cling film.
  2. Melt the butter, chocolate and syrup together in a large saucepan over a gentle heat. Add the biscuits, pecans and marshmallows and stir well until everything is coated.
  3. Turn into the tin and cover with cling film. Chill in the fridge for 3–4 hours until set.
  4. Remove from fridge about 1 hour bef
