Bolognese sauce is such a household favorite that whenever I make it, I always make plenty and freeze the extra for when I need a quick dinner for the family—all I need to do then is thaw the sauce and boil some pasta. This is a really useful standby, because you can serve it with rice or baked potatoes, as well as simply boiled pasta, make it into lasagne, cannelloni or shepherd’s pie, or use it to fill tortillas or crepes.
