  • 1 can (15-oz.) pitted cherries, strained with the syrup or juice reserved
  • ounces dark chocolate, 70% cocoa solids, or milk chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • cups crumble mix of your choice
  • bought or Foolproof Homemade Custard Sauce or ice cream, to serve


    1. Heat the oven to 400°F.
    2. Divide the cherries between two small baking dishes. Spoon enough syrup or juice over to half cover them. Sprinkle with the chocolate, then with your chosen crumble mix.
    3. Bake about 20 minutes until bubbling and golden. Serve with custard sauce or ice cream.
