  • About

Kids love cheeseburgers and if you make your own, you know they are made with healthy ingredients. You can easily double the quantities to make more—so they are perfect for when your children invite their friends over for lunch or an after-school meal.

Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 1 pound 2 ounces ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

Method

  1. Put all the burger ingredients, except the oil, in a bowl and mix well, preferably using your hands. Firmly shape into burgers. (Cook straightaway or chill until needed.)
  2. When you’re ready to cook the burgers, heat a griddle or skillet until it is really hot. Brush with a little oil, add the burgers and cook about 8 minutes, turning them every minute or so. Alt
