I discovered this wonderful dessert in Melbourne in the company of my friend Diane Holuigue in the lovely atmosphere of midmorning October Australian sunshine, while parrots and parakeets were sending their love calls from gum tree to gum tree. If passion fruit and mangoes are not available or too costly, which they can be, use any diced fresh fruit of your choice.
