Particularly enjoyable with breaded scaloppine of turkey or breaded chicken cutlets. Cook to crisp-tender or tender, as you prefer.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup pure olive oil
  • Large pinch of saffron threads
  • 2 teaspoons aniseeds

Method

Heat the olive oil in a small pan, then pour over the saffron threads and ½ teaspoon of the aniseeds in a small bowl and let steep overnight in the refrigerator. Bring back to room temperature 1 hour before using. Do not strain.
