This takes all of 3 minutes and is the essence of good fresh corn. You need not cook the corn; it is enough to heat it through.
Remove all the husks and silk. Bring 3 inches of water to a boil in the bottom of a steamer. Place the ears in the steamer basket and steam 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the steam and rub with salted butter.
