  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or unsaturated oil of your choice
  • 2 fennel bulbs, well washed and slivered

Method

Preheat a nonstick electric frying pan to 375°F. Heat the butter and add the fennel strips. Sauté until well coated with the butter, then season with salt and pepper. Cover the pan and let steam until crisp-tender. Remove to a plate and keep warm.
