When a cream puff dough is going to be used for a savory dish, it never contains sugar and only a smaller amount of butter. Here is a recipe for a cheesecake often served at wine tastings in Burgundy. I use chicken stock rather than water or milk; it is more in character with the remainder of the ingredients. This was called a poupelain au fromage by my great grandmother.
