This is the easiest icing to prepare and it can be adapted to all possible tastes by using juices of diverse fruit.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Method

Put the sugar into a medium-size bowl. Using a wooden spoon gradually add the lemon juice, then very gradually enough of the chosen liquid or juice for the sugar to turn into an icing that will coat the spoon by ⅛ inch and flow slowly when poured or drizzled over a cake.
