Did someone ask for a spiced cloud? If the answer is yes, this whipped topping is all you need. It’s a welcome addition to any ice cream (cream on cream? yes!) and can also add a richness to fruity and floral sorbets. Plus, you can make it vegan by substituting coconut cream for the heavy cream.
1 In a bowl, beat the cream until soft peaks form, about 4 minutes with a hand mixer, or 5–6 minutes by hand with a whisk. Sprinkle the sugar, spice, and salt on top and beat for 30 more seconds to mix thoroughly. Use immediately.
