The Complete Picnic Loaf

I first had this idea for our frequent picnics in south Devon during my children’s school holidays; it is tasty, convenient and sustaining since meat, vegetables and cheese are cooked together within a bread crust. To keep the loaf warm on the journey I keep it wrapped in the cooking foil and enclosed in an insulated bag, but it also tastes good cold.
