This mushroom preparation is a companion of sorts to my recipe for Steamed Black Mushrooms. Like the steamed mushrooms, this recipe is a basic preparation that can be eaten as is or in combination with other foods. The ideal size for these mushrooms is 1 inch in diameter, which is important because they are intensely flavored with oyster sauce and are meant to be eaten whole, rather than cut.
