This recipe can be used to baste chicken wings on the barbecue, or a whole roast chicken cooked in the oven.


  • 20 g (¾ oz) ichimi chilli
  • 50 ml (


Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over a medium heat.

Allow to cool and store in a jar in the fridge until ready to use.

This marinade will keep for two weeks.
