Fresh Fava Beans with Coriander Seeds, Garlic, and Cilantro

We are blessed with an abundance of fava beans, which forces me to seek new and exciting ways to cook the jewels of my garden’s fresh pods. In my search for variety I came across a perfectly simple, yet luscious recipe on Deborah Gardner’s blog. The preparation originates from the old Jewish community of Aleppo, Syria. “Be generous with coriander; it should make the dish brownish,” she writes. I followed her basic instructions, but decided to add fresh cilantro at the end, as well as some l
