    I got this recipe from a good friend, Mila Manalac, while I was a student staying with her in Philadelphia. Mila was obsessed with cooking, and to this day, food is still her passion.

    This version is made with oxtail along with longbeans, banana heart, and eggplant. Be sure to serve this with sautéed bagoong na alamang [fermented shrimp paste]. I like to mix my bagoong with kalamansi lime juice and a little bit of vinegar to soften the salt level.
