Ingredients

  • 25 g onion – diced
  • 3 g ginger – grated on a microplane
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 200 g prickly pear – peeled
  • 1 g cloves
  • 1 g wet seafood masala
  • 5 g honey
  • 15 ml water
  • 15 ml white wine vinegar
  • 5 g salt

Method

In a pot, cook the onions and ginger in the olive oil until soft and translucent. Cut the prickly pear into 5 mm cubes. Add the prickly pears to the pot followed by the remaining ingredients.

Simmer gently until the liquid becomes thicker and forms a chutney-like consistency. Refrigerate until needed.
