Ingredients

  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 125 ml water
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 lime – the juice

Method

In a pot, combine the water, sugar and lime juice. Bring to the boil to create a sugar syrup. Cut a slit in the jalapeno without cutting it in half completely. Add the jalapeno to the pot of sugar syrup to infuse. Pour the contents of the pot into a glass jar/container and store in the fridge.
