This is one of those casual desserts that has a fancy name but feels so simple to make that it almost can’t be classified as a recipe. There’s no measuring needed because the simplicity and ease are what makes it work. But it’s the perfect sweet light treat for a weekday. Or you can even prep it ahead and then just stick it under the broiler for guests after a heavy meal. It’s a treat without the work—just make sure you have a good broiler, because this recipe really doesn’t work without it
