It might not be your first choice of fruit to add to a veggie salad – but juicy, not-too-sweet blueberries work really well when teamed with creamy goats’ cheese and sweet crunchy walnuts. They are wonderfully high in antioxidants – one of the highest among all fruits – and thought to protect against heart disease and cholesterol.

Ingredients

  • 300–400 g/10½–14 oz goats’ cheese log with rind on, or 4 individual rounds
