Mackerel is a super-healthy fish to cook because it contains more omega-3 fatty acids than any other fish (excellent for brainpower and lowering your cholesterol levels). It’s also pretty economical, too. As it’s a seasonal fish, you may not always be able to get hold of fresh mackerel, so serve this refreshing salad with equally healthy smoked mackerel instead.
